Cricket Clicker Privacy Policy

Hammerhead Innovations · Last updated 14 Oct 2026

Cricket Clicker does not collect, sell or share any personal information. It has no ads, no analytics, no sign-in and no server. Everything the app keeps stays on your phone.

This policy covers the Cricket Clicker app for Android and for iPhone, made by Hammerhead Innovations in New Zealand. Where the two work differently, it says so.

What the App Keeps on Your Phone

The app saves a few things on your phone so it works the way you left it:

  • Your current count: overs, balls, wickets and runs
  • Your settings, such as balls per over, sound, vibration and left-handed mode
  • When your free trial started, the latest date and time the app has seen (so changing the phone’s clock can’t extend the trial), and whether you have bought the full version
  • Small reminders so it doesn’t repeat itself, such as whether you’ve seen the trial welcome (on Android) and how many times you’ve opened the app before it asks for a review

None of this is sent to us.

Deleting it: on Android, go to your phone’s Settings › Apps › Cricket Clicker › Storage and clear the app’s storage, or uninstall the app. On iPhone, delete the app: touch and hold its icon, then tap Remove App › Delete App. Your purchase isn’t kept in the app. Google Play or the App Store keeps it, so it comes back when you reinstall. On iPhone, tap Restore purchase if it doesn’t come back by itself. The App Store also keeps a record of your free trial, so reinstalling doesn’t start a new one.

Backups: on Android, if backup is turned on for your Google account, your phone may include this data in its backup so it can be restored on a new phone. That backup is made and stored by Google under your account. On iPhone, the data is included in your iCloud backup, if you use it, and in backups to your computer. We can’t see any of these backups.

Purchases

Google Play (on Android) and the App Store (on iPhone) handle all payments, and we never receive your card or other payment details. To unlock the app, it asks Google Play or the App Store on your phone whether your account owns the full version. That check goes to Google or Apple, not to us.

On iPhone, the free trial is itself a free App Store item, called “3-day Trial”, which you take by tapping Start Free Trial. The App Store records it under your Apple Account, like a purchase, and the app asks the App Store when your trial started. That check also goes to Apple, not to us.

Google Play gives developers a record of each order, such as the order number, date and amount. We use it only for accounting, refunds and support. Apple gives developers sales reports, such as how many were sold in each country on each day, which don’t identify you. On iPhone, Apple handles refunds itself.

How Google and Apple handle your payment is covered by the Google Privacy Policy and the Apple Privacy Policy.

Phone Features the App Uses

The app uses these features only to count, and nothing they pick up is stored or sent anywhere. It doesn’t use your location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos or files, and the app itself doesn’t connect to the internet.

FeatureWhat it’s used for
VibrationBuzzing the count, and the end of each over
Motion sensorSpotting a shake, only when shake to count is turned on
Volume buttons (Android)Adding or taking off a ball, only while the app is open and the setting is on
Action button, Back Tap, Shortcuts and Siri (iPhone)Adding a ball with the app’s “Add Ball” action, if you choose to set one of these up. It only counts while the app is open. If you ask Siri, Apple handles your voice request under its own privacy policy, and the app only receives “add a ball”
Do Not Disturb (Android)Checking whether it’s on and, if you agree, opening your phone’s Do Not Disturb settings. The app can’t change the setting itself or see your calls and notifications
Do Not Disturb (iPhone)A reminder to turn it on, only if you switch the reminder on in the app’s settings. The app can’t see or change Do Not Disturb, or see your calls and notifications
Google Play (Android)Checking and completing purchases, and opening the store page when you choose to rate the app
App Store (iPhone)Checking, completing and restoring purchases (including the free trial), asking Apple to show its rating request (Apple decides whether it appears), and opening the store page when you choose to rate the app

Sharing, Children and Your Rights

We don’t sell, rent or share any information with anyone, because the app doesn’t give us any. What it keeps on your phone is protected by Android or iOS, which stop other apps from reading it.

Cricket Clicker collects no personal information from anyone of any age, including children.

Under New Zealand’s Privacy Act 2020 and similar laws elsewhere, you can ask what personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct or delete it. The app sends us nothing. Apart from Google Play’s order records for Android purchases (see Purchases), the only information we could hold is an email you send us. We use your email only to reply, and will delete it if you ask.

Changes and Contact

If a future version changes how the app handles information, we’ll update this policy and the date at the top before that version is released.
